The present software has been developped mainly by Gilles Muller on the basis of  F. Arzu program. It is currently exercised by the CNCnet team and evolves rapidly. It controls the foam cutting table CNCnet through the electronic control board BB2000 or GP98. It operates under Windows 9x.

The aim of the program is to offer a simple and easy to use operator interface to cut parts in polystyren foam. It is written in C++ and can be downloaded from 'Olivier Segouin's web site ou Gilles MULLER's one. Source access is restricted. If you want to get access to the program source, contact  Gilles ! If you want to contribute to the program development, you are welcome to join us. Subscribe to  http:\\www.egroups.com  group [decoupe cnc].

The present software version provide support for

  • Airfoil section management, based on Frank Arzu profil V2 software
  • Cutting route control, with constant root chord speed
  • Adjustment for foam melting due to the glowing wire
  • Dressing of foam block
  • Test cut "à la mode GP"
  • Electronic trims for zero adjustment
  • Rectangular and trapezoidal wing cut
  • Efficient skin thickness compensation
  • Reading of port lpt1 address through bios
  • Interpolation between points through spline
  • Twist angle management
  • Project management (load/save)
  • Cut files generation
  • When dressing a block, maximal horizontal speed (gains time for tests, for instance)
  • Automatic
  • Cutting wire glow adjustment (using percent value)
Other functions are planned, but not yet implemented:
  • height alignment in the foam block of root and tip airfoil sections
  • capability to cut sections with 90° angles (fuselage)
  • Automatic cutting wire glow control through program
